In its efforts to strengthen the police public relations, a police public meeting was organized at Dak bunglow , Bhaderwah here today.The meeting was chaired by newly posted ASP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and attended by a huge gathering of people including representatives of organisations including political leaders , social activists and trade union presidents besides senior citizens and civil societies members included SDPO Brijesh Sharma and Station House Officer Muneer Khan .During the meeting various issues relating to drug addiction, traffic management and other issues of public interest were discussed.ASP Bhaderwah while speaking on the occasion sought public support in dealing with the criminal activities in the Bhaderwah and added that such meeting are organized to solicit the suggestion and support for the better policing.Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, ASP assured them that police department will provide all possible help as and when required for redressal of these issues.At the conclusion of the meeting, ASP thanked the participants for valuable feedback for the better policing .ASP said from the day when he joined at Bhaderwah had launch drive to create awareness against drug abuse and said rug de-addiction campaign had two aspects — curing those who were already addicted and preventing those who were not on drugs.He further informed that several children do it as an adventure while others do it out of ignorance. “We want to know whether students recognise it as a problem and get feedback from them to know what is going on in society,” he said . Masth Nath Yogi , Abdul Hafeez Khateeb , Ashok Kotwal , Hafeez Wani ,Koshal Kotwal , Monaj Kotwal , Shekar Kotwal , Abdul Quyoom Bhagwan , Ch Shabir Ahmed , Irshad Ahmed Laway , Naseer Mehboob , Rohit Sharma , Ved Parkash , Abdul Haq Zargar , Satish Sharma , Tanveer Ahmed Dev , Ashraf Goni and other also spoke on the occasion .
