JAMMU & KASHMIR Mentally challenged person mistaken as braid chopper thrashed in Sopore, rescued : Police | KNO FIR registered and culprits identified Published 338 weeks ago on October 20, 2017 By KashmirNewsObserver Sopore police got information that a mob had got hold of an alleged braid chopper in fruit Mandi area. Immediately a police party rushed to spot and found that a mob was beating one person ruthlessly. The miscreants had also burnt hay and were trying to set the person ablaze. Some miscreants were trying to run a tractor over him. The person was rescued and identified as Wasim Ahmad Tantray reportedly mentally challenged son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Shakwara presently residing at Puthkhah Nowpora Sopore. The said person was immediately rushed to SDH Sopore. Condition of injured is stated to be critical and has been referred to Srinagar.
