Div Com reviews stock, supply position of Ladakh region | KNO

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting of officers to review the stock and supply position of Ladakh & Kargil regions.

During the meeting officers informed the Divisional Commissioner that adequate stock of ration, LPG and other items is available in Ladakh and Kargil districts. Reviewing the supply and stock position of essential Commodities for Ladakh & Kargil regions, the Divisional Commissioner stressed for ensuring remaining supply of essential commodities including Sugar, Flour, Kerosene oil and Petroleum products by the end of this month in the twin regions so that people will not have to face any difficulty for want of basic amenities. Development Commissioners of Leh and Kargil apprised the divisional administration through video conference about the smooth supplies in their region. Div Com directed Animal & Sheep Husbandries for making arrangements for supplying of poultry birds, eggs, poultry feed, and Sheep by the end of this month. Deputy Director Health Services, Kashmir informed the meeting that the sufficient stock of life saving drugs has already been stocked to Leh & Kargil districts. Div. Com directed the concerned authorities to ensure that the adequate supply of construction material including cement for carrying out developmental activities in the regions are sent by the end of this month. Forest department will also dump timber & fire wood as per their target to these twin regions upto ending October. He also directed all other concerned officers to store their remaining target of their respective commodities to the region by the end of this month and also send weekly report to the Divisional Commissioner’s office. Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director FCS&CA, Director Animal Husbandry, General Manager SRTC, Joint Director Sheep Husbandry, Joint Director Agriculture, Deputy Director Horticulture, Deputy Director Health, Deputy Secretary LAD, SGM SFC, SE R&B, Representatives of JK Cements & Oil Companies and other concerned officers were present in this meeting.
