45-year-old man slips to death in Bandipora forests | KNO

Bandipora, July 02 (KNO) : A 45-year-old man died after he slipped into the Nallah from the wooden foot bridge and got drowned to death, at Trisangam forests area in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Tuesday. Official sources told KNO that the man was crossing the wooden foot bridge along with other locals, when he suddenly slipped and fell into the water and got drowned into it. Following the incident, the locals rushed to the spot and immediately launched searches to trace out the body. However, after hectic efforts, the locals retrieved the dead body of the deceased from the Nallah. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Aslam Chohan (45), son of Salaamuddin Chohan, a resident of Chohan Mohalla Panar A senior police officer also confirmed the incident to KNO and said his body has been handed over to his family after all medico-legal formalities.(KNO)
