Amid exchange of gunfire along LOC, one Army man succumbs, three injured | KNO

Jammu, March 18 (KNO) : An Army man injured during cross Line of control firing between India and Pakistan armies in Sunderbani sector has succumbed to injuries.

According to officials, as told to KNO, the army man was among the four soldiers who had recieved injuries during the exchange of fire. "The soldiers were injured by Pakistan fire in Keri Battal area of Sunderbani sector. The deceased's body has been shifted to Akhnoor," the officials said.

Three other soldiers are being treated at the Army hospital in the region. The armies traded gunfire including mortars after, as Army official claimed, unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Pakistan army.

They fired mortars and used small arms firing to target the Indian Army early today morning. The fire was effectively retaliated, they said. "Cross border firing started on LoC in Sunderbani sector on Monday early morning at 05:30 AM," they said.(KNO)
