Srinagar, February 05 (KNO) : A youth from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district was allegedly beaten by Army personnel in his native and have threatened him to kidnap his sister besides asking him to pick up arms. A youth namely Tawseef Ahmad, 20, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Achgoaza Pulwama was beaten ruthlessly at Shadimarg Pulwama 44 RR Camp in Pulwama by Army Major and other personnel. The injured youth who is admitted at Srinagar’s SMHS hospital told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the Army men have threatened him to kidnap his sister. “They (Army men asked for the photographs of my sister and threatened me to kidnap her,” the injured youth said, adding that forces also threatened him to pick up arms within days. He alleged that Army men thrashed him without any reason yesterday evening, thus leaving him seriously wounded. Meanwhile, the youth is currently undergoing treatment at SMHS hospital here for specialized treatment. Meanwhile, a top police official while talking to KNO said that a youth was reportedly beaten by Army men and investigation in this regard is going on. He expressed the allegations against the Army men is quite shocking but the investigation has been started into the matter to see veracity of allegations. Anyone found involved will be dealt according to law, he said, adding that the issue is under investigation and further details will be shared after investigation.(KNO)
