Army man shoots self dead in Bandipora | KNO

Bandipora, July 28 (KNO): An Army soldier allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Chuntimulla area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday afternoon. An Army Officer told KNO that the army man of 14 RR, posted at Chuntimulla army camp, shot himself while he was on duty today afternoon. Following the gunshot, the colleagues rushed towards the army man and found him in a pool of blood, they said, adding that the army man was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Confirming it, a senior police officer identified the deceased Sepoy pawan kumar (Sunkar) Officer further said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation initiated. (KNO)
