Army provided assistance to migrant labourers in Budgam | KNO

Budgam, Apr 02 (KNO): Amid lockdown and restrictions across Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory over Coronavirus pandemic, Army's 53 Rashtrya Rifles in Central Kashmir's Budgam district Thursday distributed essentials including food items, ration and medicines among the migrant labourers. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Army's 53 RR in Ichgam, Bugam, Hadpura, Arizal, Sholipora and Sonapah villages of Budgam district distributed food items among the migrant labourers. Officials from Army said that under Operation Namaste, they are working to fight against COVID-19 and are helping the needy at this point of time. Army officials further told—KNO that in order to assist migrant labourers who are struck due to COVID-19 lockdown, Army's 53 RR distributed ration, medicines and other essential items among 85 migrant labourers from different States of India including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Jharkhand in various villages of Budgam including Ichgam , Bugam, Hadpura , Arizal, sholipora and Sonapah—(KNO)
