Burglar arrested in Anantnag; Stolen items recovered : Police | KNO

Anantnag police arrested a burglar and recovered stolen items from his possession.

Police Station Mattan received a written complaint from one person namely Adil Hussain Wani son of Ishtiyaq Ahmad Wani resident of  Seer Hamdan that some unknown burglars barged and looted his shop during night hours at Seer Hamdan.

In this regard, a case FIR number 75/ 2017 under section  457, 380 RPC was registered and investigation was set into motion.

During investigation, Anantnag police zeroed on one person namely Zahid Ahmad Wani son of  Bashir Ahmad Wani resident of Seer Hamdan. On questioning the accused revealed that he is involved in the crime and on his instance 21 boxes of cigarette were recovered.

Further investigation of the case was taken up.
