Clashes erupt in Kupwara post Eid Prayers | KNO

Kupwara, June 05 (KNO) : Clashes broke out between government forces and protesters in main town Kupwara following Eid Prayers here at Markazi Jamia masjid Kupwara. Eye witness told KNO that as people came out after offering Eid prayers scores of people started to shout anti India and pro Zakir Mussa slogans leading to intense clashes between forces and protesting people. When reports last came in intense clashes were going on between government forces and protesters, forces used tear smoke shells to disappear the protesters. There were no immediate reports of any injury from any of the side while as Clashes were going on when this report was filed.(KNO)
