COVID-19: Nine more die in Kashmir, toll 419 in J&K | KNO

Srinagar, Aug 04 (KNO): The deadly Coronavirus on Tuesday claimed nine more lives in Jammu and Kashmir, thus taking the toll of deaths due to COVID-19 to 419 in the Union Territory. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that four patients who died include a 60-year-old male from Draigam Budgam, a 75-year-old male from Khanyar Srinagar, a 65-year-old woman from Badran Magam Budgam, a 65-year-woman from Attina Budgam, a 50-year-old man from Bemina, a 59-year-old man from Basantbagh Srinagar, a 75-year-old man from Redwani Kulgam, a 75 and 70 year old two men from Tral area of Pulwama district. An official from SMHS said that a 60-year-old man from Draigam Budgam who was admitted on 29 July with bilateral Pneumonia died on Tuesday. He said that a 50-year-old man from Bemina who died on Tuesday morning was tested positive after his death. He further added that a 75-year-old male resident of Redwani Kulgam at present Natipora Srinagar died on tuesday and was tested positive after death. Sources said that a 70-year old male from Tral area of Pulwama who died two days before at SMHS due to COVID was included today in the media bulletin. An official from CD hospital said that a 75-year-old male from Khanyar Srinagar who was admitted on 25 July died on Tuesday. “His second sample was taken yesterday, however, the report of 2nd sample is awaited,” he said. He further added that a 65-year-old woman from Badran Magam Budgam who was admitted on 03 August also died on Tuesday. An official from SKIMS Soura told KNO that a 65-year-old woman from Attina Budgam who was admitted on 1st August died on Tuesday. He said that a 75-year-old man from Tral Pulwama who was admitted on 29 July died on Monday evening. He further added that a 59-year-old man from Basantbagh Srinagar who was admitted on 14 July died on Tuesday. With nine more deaths, the death toll has reached to 419 in J&K, including 389 from Kashmir division and 30 from Jammu division—(KNO)
