Srinagar, May 15 (KNO) : Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Wednesday said it received a representation from MD/MS doctors presently working in various hospitals of the valley. The candidates were DM/MCH aspirants who are appearing in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS). NEET SS 2019 is a Super Speciality national level exam being conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE)to offer admission in DM / MCh courses, a statement issued to KNO reads. The entrance exam is scheduled on June 28, 2019, in Online Mode and the registration has already started from 8th May. The candidates were dismayed by the lackadaisical attitude of the authorities in failing to get sufficient number of examination centers in Kashmir, DAK said. Dr Suhail Naik President DAK took a strong note of this concern of aggrieved candidates and said that, "It is very unfortunate that every time we are made to beg to authorities to get sufficient number of examination centers to Kashmir so that our candidates are not made to suffer but it seems that our demands are falling to deaf ears". Dr Naik further said that, “Our state at Srinagar has been conducting other exams of national level like Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) since long in a fair and uninterrupted manner but it’s regretful that at present only a miniscule number of candidates will appear in the said examination at Kashmir Center due to limited number of seats for unknown reasons thus forcing the candidates to opt for the centers at other states which will mar the health care badly during those days in addition causing unnecessary trouble to candidates”. Dr Suhail Naik urged Governor Satya Pal Malik to take up the matter with appropriate authorities for increasing the number of centers so that the candidates are not made to suffer unnecessarily.(KNO)
