Day 02: 39 samples lifted from Manjakote's red zone | KNO

Rajouri, Apr 02 (KNO): The teams of health department on Wednesday continued to take samples of the people living in ‘Red Zone’ village in Rajouri district. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), at least 39 fresh samples were taken in five villages of Rajouri's Manjakote ‘red zone’. The district administration said that the total number of samples taken so far in Rajouri has reached 102 while as the report of 79 is still awaited, adding that 22 have been found negative so far. "On Thursday, two more sample reports were received and both were negative,” officials said. Pertinently, three persons hailing from Rajouri's Manjakote were tested positive. District Magistrate Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh said that teams of health department visited red zone area today and collected 39 samples after which total number of samples in Rajouri have gone up to 102. He further said that 12 persons suspected to have remained in active contact with positive cases have been shifted to different administrative quarantine facilities and their samples shall be conducted –(KNO)
