JAMMU & KASHMIR Disallowing son to carry father’s dead body on highway condemnable: Sehrai | KNO Published 349 weeks ago on July 19, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Srinagar, July 19 (KNO) : Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai Friday strongly condemned the ‘inhuman and shameful’ incident as reported in local print media, where a son was not allowed to carry forward his father’s dead body and halted for hours on Jammu-Srinagar highway due to the movement of Amarnath pilgrims. In a statement issued to KNO, Sehrai said such arbitrary application of power where a person was taking his mortal remains and prevented to proceed just to facilitate convoys exposed the hollowness of the human rights and pathetic state of affairs prevailing.
