Encounter breaks out in DH Pora Kulgam | KNO

Kulgam, May 25 (KNO): Encounter broke out between government forces and militants at Khur village in Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district on Monday morning. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area by joint team of forces including 34 RR, CRPF and Kulgam Police on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area in wee hours of Monday. He said soon after trapping the militants, they were asked to surrender, adding that they, however, opened fire, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter. Sources said that two militants are believed to be trapped—(KNO)
