Encounter rages in Banduna Pulwama | KNO

Pulwama, June 14 (KNO) : A gunfight has started between government forces and militants in Bandana village of Awantipora area in South kashmir's Pulwama district. An official told KNO that a joint team of forces including 55 RR, CRPF and SOG launched cordon and search operation in the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area. As forces approached towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter. Sources said that two militants are believed to be trapped in the area.(KNO)
