Srinagar, July 08 (KNO): Seconding Governor Satpal Malik’s statement that certain people have made millions through dubious means while serving in forest department, AIP President Er Rasheed Monday urged Malik to identify and initiate action against all such big fish. In a statement issued to KNO, Er Rasheed said, “While corruption has become the identity of various departments, the common man continues to suffer forgetting two time meals. No doubt there are certain honest and competent officers in every department but their voice goes unheard and they feel sidelined every time.” He said it is not only forest department but in most of the departments corruption has been legalized. “It is duty of every conscience bearing citizen to share the information he possesses and support the sincere moves of the government against corruption,” he added. Er Rasheed said that he will be handing over to Governor and Chief Secretary certain strong evidences against few officers including those from forest, PDD, Public works and other prestigious departments who have looted the state resources and are enjoying impunity.(KNO)
