Forces lay siege over Sofigund Tral | KNO

Pulwama, February 10 (KNO) : Government forces on Sunday laid siege over Sofigund area of Tral in Pulwama district.  According to sources joint forces of 42 RR, 180 BN CRPF and JK Police launched cordon and search operation in the area and sealed the area.  Locals said that a large contingent of the forces arrived in the area and laid cordon over the area sealing all the entry and exit points.  Sources told KNO that the operation was launched after a specific input about militants presence in the area was received.  "The operation has been launched to flush out hiding militants in the local population but till now contact has not been established with militants," sources told KNO.  Door to door searches were going on in the area when last reports came in.(KNO)
