Four militants killed in Boniyar gunfight | KNO

Baramulla, October 18 (KNO) : Four unidentified militants have been killed in an encounter with government forces in upper reaches of forests of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday. Official sources told (KNO) a search team of army’s 5 Grenadier intercepted a group of militants at Torna post in the woods of Boniyar at around 8:30 am after getting specific inputs . "After being intercepted, the infiltrated militants opened fire on forces which triggering off the gunfight for hours. An army officer also confirmed the incident and said that four unidentified militants have been killed and their identity and group affiliation are being ascertained. “Three bodies have been recovered near post by the forces and additional reinforcements of army and later one more body was recovered late in because of highly dense forest cover,” the officer said.
