Srinagar, April 08 (KNO) : Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Monday expressed shock on the demise of senior Jamaat-e-Islami leader and a well known social activist Gh. Nabi Faridabadi of Jammu. Recalling association with him, Geelani as per a statement issued to KNO said that he was a noble soul, an affectionate human being, a caring citizen, a religious and literary legend and an inspirational freedom lover. He said that despite hostile environment and a non-Muslim dominated town of Jammu, he worked very hard and tirelessly to propagate the message and manifesto of Jamaat-e-Islami. Geelani said that besides being a family closeness, him he served as a colleague when I was incharge of Jamaat official organ “Azan”. “He would love to host any worker or leader of Jamaat-e-Islami from the valley and would facilitate them in the organizational affairs,” he said. Geelani said Fariabadi has two of his three sons martyred in the present freedom struggle. Condoling and consoling his wife and son, he prayed for the eternal peace of deceased and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.(KNO)
