Girl injured in cross-border firing in Poonch sector | KNO

Poonch, June 26 (KNO): A girl was on Friday injured in cross-border firing on Line of control (LoC) in Poonch sector of Jammu region, officials said. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Nazir Kouser, 17, daughter of Late Bashir Ahmed, resident of Mandaar village, who was a Constable received bullet injuries during cross-border firing and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. They said Pakistan Army on Friday evening resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling in Poonch’s Malti area. “Intermittent firing and shelling is going on in the area,” officials said. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Rahul Yadav told KNO that girl is undergoing treatment and shall be referred to Jammu GMC after stabilization. He added that an immediate assistance has been provided to the injured girl. “She received bullet injuries when she was grazing her goats near LoC,” DC said—(KNO)
