Hajin police act as ‘saviours’, ferry pregnant lady to hospital amid lockdown | KNO

Hajin, Mar 28(KNO): The police on Saturday facilitated transport for a pregnant lady in Vijpara village of Hajin and ferried her to hospital amid lockdown in view of the deadly Coronavirus spread. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), police station Hajin received a distress call asking for transport facility to shift a pregnant lady to the hospital. An official said that as there was lockdown in the area as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus, the family was not able to arrange any vehicle for the pregnant lady. He said on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora Rahul Malik a team was rushed to Vijpara village to facilitate transport for the pregnant lady. “The team picked up the lady from her home in the police vehicle and shifted her to Sumbal hospital with proper care for further treatment,” he said—(KNO)
