Husband-Wife injured in Qazigund mishap | KNO

Qazigund, May 25 (KNO): A husband-wife duo was injured on Monday evening after their motorcycle met with an accident in Damjan area of Qazigund in South Kashmir's Anantnag district. Officials while divulging the details to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), identified the couple as Mohammad Ashraf Sofi, son of Abdul Hamid Sofi and his wife Haseena Akthar of Wangund were travelling on a motorcycle when they met with an accident. Their motorcycle was hit by a tranker in Qazigund village, resulting into the critical injuries of the duo. Both the critically injured were rushed to a nearby hospital wherefrom they were shifted to GMC Anantnag for specialized treatment, they said. A police officer also confirmed the incident and said that cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation has been taken up—(KNO)
