Srinagar, August 01 (KNO) : Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Ram Madhav Thursday accused political parties of supporting militants and pushing young educated boys into the militant fold for their own petty political interests. According to Kashmir News Observer (KNO), speaking at a rally at Balhama area of Srinagar, Madhav who was on a two-day visit to Kashmir, said that security forces are dealing with the militants in a better way than ever in the history of Kashmir but it is high time that action is taken against political parties who have been in support of militancy. “Now some are talking about playing with barood (Explosives). We are not going to be bogged down by such comments,” he said, according to KNO correspondent present at the function. Madhav said that Hurriyat and corrupt politicians will have to face the consequences for supporting militancy and promoting corruption in the State. “It is strange that their own children are studying out of country and they are misguiding educated young boys in Kashmir some of whom join militancy out of frustration due to unemployment. I have seen Kashmir is the only place where even a Phd degree holder is sitting idle as there is no job opportunity for him,” Madhav said, adding that it was due to the wrong policies of corrupt politicians. He said out of the probe ordered into the J&K Bank scam, shocking details have come to fore. “Big names are come to fore and we will urge the government to ensure that no matter how big the politician is or has been, should be punished as per the law for filling his own pocket out of the money meant for the general public,” he said. About the KP’s return, he said that BJP is for the dignified return of KP’s to their homes once again and party wants them to live in safety and security atmosphere. “I remember Kashmir was the best example of composite culture prior to 1990. We want KPs to return to their homes once again,” he said. The BJP leader said that people of Kashmir must ensure that parties that have ruined the J&K over the past several decades through their petty politics should be kept away from the government. “Give BJP a chance to serve you. We assure you that we will serve you in a transparent manner and benefits will reach you at your door steps,” he said.(KNO)
