Srinagar, June 11 (KNO) : Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary Tuesday flayed BJP’s Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo over terming Article 35-A as a constitutional fraud, stating that the BJP leader must read history before issuing the statements of such bizarre nature. Kadfeen in a statement issued to KNO termed Article 35-a reflection of country’s unity in diversity and said that similar arrangements are in vogue in several other states of the country. “Why the BJP is hell-bent to single out Jammu and Kashmir is beyond the reach of reason and the irony is that those who even aren’t aware about the preamble of the constitution of India are terming 35-A as a constitutional fraud,” said Kadfeen. He also said that the BJP by making such rants is waiting in wings to turn the state into a battle ground and destroy the already fragile peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Kadfeen said that the leaders of the BJP must understand the delicacy of the situation and should refrain from issuing instigative, thoroughly misinforming and ridiculous statements. Kadfeen said that the Congress party will always fight for the protection of the constitution and will not allow the nefarious elements to undermine or erode the constitutional guarantees accorded to the people of the country and to the people of the state by the constitution itself.(KNO)
