Kathua boy killed in scuffle during cricket match | KNO

Kathua, Apr 01 (KNO): In a tragic incident, a boy was killed during a scuffle during a cricket match in Basholi area of Kathua district, officials said. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the deceased has been identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hussain of Basohli Kathua. Initial details revealed that few boys were playing cricket in the village when some among them got engaged in a scuffle over some issue. “In the scuffle, Shakeel got injured and was taken to local hospital where he was declared as brought dead,” officials said. Body of the deceased has reportedly been kept in hospital for medico-legal formalities. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, Shailendra Mishra told KNO that a formal complaint has been received in the matter and investigation have been initiated –(KNO)
