Keran Operation: Five militants, Five soldiers killed, Ops over | KNO

Kupwara, Apr 05 (KNO): Five militants and five soldiers were killed in the gunfight along the line of control in Keran sector that raged on Saturday late evening and concluded on Sunday evening with the killing of five militants and equal number of soldiers.

According to Wire Service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official said two more soldiers  succumbed to their injures taking the total number of soldiers killed to five. He said that three soldiers who were injured earlier have succumbed to their injures, the total death toll has mounted to 10 including five militants and five soldiers.

He said that the operation has been called off with the killing of all five infiltrated militants who four days back made and attempt to sneak in. He also  said that the bodies of all five militants have been recovered from the spot along with arms and ammunition. The official furthermore said that the operation is over and the joint forces have started to move down along with the bodies, more information and recoveries related to the operation will be shared later—(KNO)
