Minor girl drowns to death in Anantnag | KNO

Anantnag, June 13 (KNO) : A four-year-old girl drowned into a river in Ugjan area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday afternoon. Reports reaching to KNO said that Shameema was with her mother to fetch water from nearby river when slipped and drowned into a river, following which her family and neighbors tried to rescue her. However, they failed to find her quickly. Soon after the incident, the family and neighbors immediately removed her to district Hospital Anantnag where doctors declared her brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Shameema (04) daughter of Shareef Ahmad of Ugjan, Dialgam. (KNO)
