Mirwaiz, Sehrai, JKDFP pay tributes to Shujaat Bukahri on his anniversary | KNO

Srinagar, June 14 (KNO) : The pro-freedom leaders on Friday paid tributes to prominent journalist Dr Shujaat Bukhari on his maiden anniversary. Bukhari was killed on this day in 2018 at Srinagar’s Press Enclave. Hurriyat conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid tributes to veteran journalist and writer Syed Shujaat Bukhari, stating that Bukhari was a bold and brave journalist besides a great sympathizer of Kashmiri people and a good human being, who was snatched from Kashmiris during Iftaar time outside his office. Mirwaiz paid for the highest standards in Janah for the deceased Bukhari. Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai paid tributes to senior journalist Syed Shujaat Bukhari on his first death anniversary. Sehrai as per a statement issued to KNO said he will be always remembered as an outstanding journalist and above all a great soul who always stood for the Kashmir cause and a great votary for the political birth rights of people of Jammu and kashmir. He said this unresolved conflict consumed many such great intellectuals by invisible hands .Sehrai extended his deepest sympathy and condolence to the bereaved family of Shujat Bukhari and prayed for the departed soul. Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) also remembered renowned journalist Syed Shujaat Bukhari on his first martyrdom anniversary. The JKDFP Spokesperson said in a statement issued to KNO that Shujaat Bukhari was brutally killed outside his office to silent a vibrant voice of Kashmir. He said that unknown gunmen have been active in this part of the world since decades now whose activities are well known to every Kashmiri. He said that Shujaat Bukhari will always be remembered for advocating resolution of the dispute. The JKDFP Spokesperson has prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased soul and said that Shujaat Bukhari’s social activities will always be remembered.(KNO)
