Modi's efforts, initiatives would save India to combat Covid19: BJP | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNO): Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Kashmir Unit on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts saved Kashmir after removal of Article 370 and prevented people from getting killed, unlike other government regimes. In a statement issued to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Party's Kashmir Media-in-charge, Manzoor Bhat said they have full faith in Modi Ji stating that the PM saved Kashmir after removal of Article 370 and this time he would also, save the whole country and combat Covid-19. “After removal of Article 370, government-imposed lockdown restrictions to save the lives of Kashmiri people and this time too, government has imposed countrywide lockdown to save the lives of the people,” he said. "During the previous government regimes, hundreds of people were killed and but after removal of JK's special status, PM's efforts saved people of valley," he said. Hailing the 21 days lockdown announced by PM, he said lockdown is the only option that contains the spread of Cornavirus in the country. Bhat urged people to follow the lockdown instructions strictly and said that it is necessary to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. He also said staying in home is option to prevent the spread of Cornovirus and people of Kashmir have full faith in the Prime Minister's leadership to save the nation. Bhat appreciated the PM for talking to a Jammu and Kashmir student, who was struck along other students in Wuhan city of China during Covid19 outbreak. "These things have boosted the morale of the students in Kashmir and PM's positive steps speak louder than his words," he said. Bhat said Modi is the inspiration for the party's leaders and workers. Expressing grief over death of Cornovirus positive patient of Sopore, he said it is the grave situation and people should learn lessons from countries that have been badly hit. Bhat appealed people having recently travelled to valley to reveal their travel history to nearby hospitals otherwise it would worsen the situation. He said the party has urged it's members to reachout at least 9 poor families in their locality during the 21 days of the lockdown period. "The process would be started from panchayat and district level to provide essential items to poor and needy people across Kashmir," Bhat said. He said the party members have also identified some poor families in their respective localities for that. Bhat also said they had already distributed ration among the needy families. He said it is duty of every party worker to feed and reach out to poor and the members have followed the directions strictly. The party has already set up helpline numbers for public in case of any difficulty or help. He also informed that party had appointed persons would be in charge of the poor reach out programme –(KNO)
