Baramulla, June 12 (KNO) : The residents of Dachna Salamabad area of Uri are up in arms against the PMGSY department for failing to repair the potholed roads as the department has left the construction midway for years. Dachna Salamabad is the only link road connecting the area with the rest of district. However the concerned PMGSY department has failed to complete 5 kilometer road stretch for nearly four years. The residents told KNO that they face tremendous problems as the road is yet to be macadamized and awaiting completion. One of the residents, Mushtaq Ahmad told KNO that the concerned PMGSY department constructed the road in multiple shifts from the year 2012. Further development on the completion of road has been stopped in the year 2014, he said. “The area has three educational institutions, other government offices hence the students, teachers, employees suffer the cause,” Ahmad told KNO. The locals appealed the concerned authorities to repair the road at an earliest.(KNO)
