Srinagar, May 25 (KNO) : Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) Saturday stressed upon the government of India (GoI) to release all Kashmiri political prisoners as a good will gesture on or after taking oath of office for the next inning. The party spokesperson as per a statement issued to KNO said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become very powerful after sweeping the recently held elections so he must now concentrate on becoming an international figure by resolving the political disputes like Kashmir. “If Modi resolves Kashmir dispute he is sure to become a strong contender for the Nobel Peace Prize. The Kashmir dispute which is continuously consuming human lives has become a nuclear flashpoint between India and Pakistan, the two neighbouring countries, which have a very bright and larger role to play for the stability and peace of the South Asian region. So, both New Delhi and Islamabad must get the Kashmir issue resolved to make way for a larger role on international level,” he said . He added the fresh dispensation at New Delhi, as a matter of beginning should announce releasing of all Kashmiri political prisoners as a good will gesture to build a confidence and create a situation which can lead to a resolution process. “Since both India and Pakistan have numerous issues to address at their domestic levels so, it is high time for both to get engaged as mature democracies so as to find a final resolution of the long pending Kashmir dispute and end the sufferings of Kashmiri people who are suffering a lot since decades together for demanding for their internationally acknowledged political rights,” JKDFP added.(KNO)
