Relentless human sufferings continue due to unresolved Kashmir issue: Sehrai | KNO

Srinagar, Jun 01 (KNO): Reacting on recent OIC joint summit statement on Kashmir issue, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai Saturday said the relentless human suffering is still continue due to unresolved dispute of Kashmir and lack of compliance with international humanitarian laws. Sehrai as per a statement issued to KNO said “OIC and the Security Council like international institutions including Human rights groups, must yield more than just posturing and empty promises, as innocent population continue bear the brunt of lingering issue.” In order to restore the reduced credibility when it comes to safe guard human rights included the protection of civilians in its agenda, Sehrai asked these institutions to take Concrete action to effectively protect civilians and end impunity. He said the ongoing political struggle in the deep outstanding issue like Kashmir has become one of the greatest human rights crises in history, marked by wanton killings, incarceration of leaders and activists, torture and disappearances of Kashmiris, due to unimplemented UN resolutions over the issue.(KNO)
