Geelani prays for eternal peace to departed soul

Srinagar, April 03 (KNO) : Mother of senior journalist Riyaz Masroor, 62, passed away on Tuesday after a major open heart surgery at Khyber Medical Institute. People from various sections of society attended her funeral. Fateh Khwani for the departed soul will be offered on Friday 5th of April at her ancestral residence, Shalpora Alucha Bagh, Srinagar. Meanwhile, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) management has expressed grief over the demise of senior journalist’s mother and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul. The KNO management also extended solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for their courage to bear this irreparable loss. Moreover, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani also condoled the demise of mother of renowned columnist, writer and BBC correspondent Riyaz Masroor. Geelani in a statement issued to KNO prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.(KNO)
