Srinagar, August 01 (KNO) : Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai strongly condemned the ‘murderous’ assault on a pro-freedom leader, Shakeel Ahmed Bakshi by unknown people. Terming the assassination bid a deep conspiracy, Sehrai in a statement issued to KNO said that such brazen acts have no moral and religious justification at all. “Hurting unarmed and innocent person physically or verbally is not only unislamic but inhuman behaviour which needs to be condemned in strongest terms, added that anti-movement elements were resorting to such tactics to defame the "freedom movement,” he said. Sehrai said Islam and morality doesn't allow anybody to hurt someone physically even his political, social or religious opponents, adding that safeguarding the fundamental rights of others is the most noble and beautiful end of a human being. He said intimidation, aggression and extremism has never been the most effective way to make your point. Meanwhile, TeH delegation led by Bashir Ahmed Qureshi visited the residence of Fayaz Ahmed Panzoo of Tral and Showket Ahmed of Bijbehara and shared the grief and condolence with the bereaved families and prayed for the slain.(KNO)
