Senior pharmacist suspended in Pulwama, FIR registered, inquiry initiated | KNO

Pulwama, July 01 (KNO): Authorities in Pulwama district on Wednesday suspended a senior Pharmacist and attached him with the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tral. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that prima facie the senior Pharmacist was found obstructing the COVID mitigation efforts besides impeding the public health authorities in discharging their duties. An enquiry has been initiated against the senior Pharmacist and has been attached with the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tral. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral has been appointed as an Inquiry Officer in the matter and has been asked to chargesheet the delinquent employee with the directions to submit the report within a weeks’ time. A senior official said that a case under FIR number 153/2020 has been lodged under section 188, 353, 500 of IPC besides section 51(b) of Disaster Management act has also been invoked. He added that the pharmacist owns a private Nursing Home, which has been requisitioned by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in the month of March for COVID mitigation efforts and was already booked for derailing the efforts of health authorities in better delivery of health care services—(KNO)
