Sgr records season’s hottest day at 31.7 degree Celsius | KNO

Srinagar, May 26 (KNO): Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Tuesday recorded this season’s highest temperature at 31.7 degrees Celsius, an official said. Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official in the local Meteorological department (MeT) said that Srinagar district has experienced this season’s hottest day today, adding that the temperature is witnessing an upward trend across the Valley from last couple of days. Deputy Director MeT, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad told KNO that Srinagar has recorded season’s hottest day today. While divulging the details, the official informed that maximum temperature in Qazigund, Pahalgam and Kokernag in South Kashmir recorded temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius, 26.4 degrees Celsius and 29.2 degrees Celsius respectively. He further stated that the temperature in Kupwara was 31.3 degrees Celsius while in Banihal, Batote and Jammu, it was recorded 29.8 degrees Celsius, 31.0 degrees Celsius and 41.9 degrees Celsius respectively –(KNO)
