Sumbal, June 08 (KNO): Traders Federation Sumbal Sonawari Bandipora Staged a peaceful sit in protest and took out a protest rally on Saturday morning against the defamatory remarks of Moulana Bilal Ahamad Kumar against girls of Sumbal and Budgam. Locals told KNO that protesters were chanting slogans of justice in favour of girls. The protestors were holding banners and placards and demanded strict action against the Moulana for his Remarks. Meanwhile Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal has issued a Warrant to the Moulvi and directed him for his presence before the court of Law on June 11. Soon after the video of Moulvi Bilal Kumar, in which he is defaming girls went viral on social media, there was a massive public outcry from locals as well as religious leaders. Meanwhile, the traffic movement was restored after an hour and the protesters dispersed peacefully at Sumbal.(KNO)
