Srinagar, September 24 (KNO): Army on Monday claimed to have killed more three militants in Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Defense spokesman colonel Rajesh Kalia said that the five militants were killed since last evening while as soldier also lost his life in the operation.

The Army Spokesman said that the infiltration bid was foiled on Sunday evening when a group of militants trying to enter in this part of Kashmir were engaged in a gunfight. The spokesman siad that two militants were killed in the gunfight on Sunday evening while as three ore were killed today, thus taking the toll to five.

Kalia informed that the search operation is still in progress.
