Tral encounter: Militant killed, operation on | KNO

Pulwama, June 26 (KNO): A militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter that broke out between militants and government forces in Chewa Ullar area of Tral in South kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday evening. An official told News agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a militant has been killed in an exchange of fire that started on Thursday evening and is still going on. Earlier an official said that a joint team of Police, army’s 42 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter. Penitently this is 12th encounter in South kashmir in month of June in which so far 31 militants have been Killed—(KNO)
