Amritsar, November 18 (KNO) : At least three people have been killed and Ten others injures in the blast at the prayer hall of a spiritual at Nirankari Bhawan in Rajansansi village of Amritsar here on Sunday. Reports said that the blast occurred during a gathering at the Nirankari Bhawan in Rajansansi village when two bike-borne assailants threw explosives targetting devotees near Nirankari Ashram Dhera at Rajasansi village, triggering panic in the densely populated area. A top Police official told KNO that two bike borne men wore masks threw hand Grenade, targeted devotees at Rajansansi village. The blast killed two three people, and injured Ten others, official said. The attackers fled the scene after hurling grenades at the Nirankari Bhawan, The Ten injured have been shifted to hospital for Further treatment. Police have launched an investigation in this regard and are Checking footage from CCTV cameras in the area, he added.Nobody has so far claimed responsibility for the blast. Following the Grenade blast, search operation has been launched in the entire area and all entry and exist points of the area have been sealed. Security level has also beefed up in whole Amritsar. Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh expressed his condolences and condemned the grenade attack at Nirankari Bhawan in Amritsar and announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the kin of deceased. He have asked district administration to extend all help and have asked Home Secy and Punjab Police DGP, DGP Intelligence and DGP Law & Order to rush to the spot to investigate. Pertinently the attack comes days after reports of Militant Zakir Moosa’s presence in Amritsar. Earlier on Thursday Punjab Police claimed that they have received intelligence inputs that four Militants including Zakir Moosa.(KNO)
