85 Kanals Govt land retrieved in Sonamarg |KNO

Ganderbal, Jun 03 (KNO): The Revenue Department on Friday retrieved around 85 kanals of government land, which was occupied by the locals and cultivators at Sonamarg in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Officials of the department told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on the supervision of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, SDM Kangan Hakeem Tanveer,Tehsildar Gund Javaid Iqbal, Patwarai Sonamarg Shahbaz Malik and officials from police and other departments carried out an eviction drive in survey number 485 in which 85 Kanals of government land was retrieved from encroachers. Meanwhile, SDM Kangan while talking to KNO appealed to people to desist from encroaching the government land. He further added that such drives will continue in the area till all the encroached land is retrieved—(KNO)
