Reasi, Jun 28 (KNO): Nine persons, including eight CISF personnel and a civilian driver, were injured after a bus skidded off the road near Tarakote in Reasi district on Sunday, officials said.
A senior police officer told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon when a bus of the 572 CISF Company (JK08D-5992) lost control and skidded off the road while carrying CISF personnel.
The injured included Head Constables Sammy Kumar, M.M. Dubey and A. Ramesh; Constables P.K. Traya, B.D. Singh, B. Srinu and Pratyush; Sub-Inspector Shiv Charan Meena and driver Virender Singh.
He said Head Constables Sammy Kumar and M.M. Dubey, along with Constable P.K. Traya, were referred to Narayana Hospital after receiving initial treatment at GMC Jammu.
The remaining injured are undergoing treatment, while the cause of the accident is being ascertained, officials added.
Meanwhile, police have taken up an investigation and further proceedings are underway.—(KNO)
