Baramulla MC refutes illegal construction claims, warns of legal action | KNO

Baramulla, Apr 08 (KNO): The Municipal Council Baramulla has rejected allegations of illegal construction in the town, terming them baseless and motivated. Chief Executive Officer Farhana Shaukat, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said the council will take strict legal action against individuals spreading what she described as false claims for vested interests. She said some elements are attempting to defame the council by circulating unverified allegations. “If anyone has proof of illegal construction, they should approach us. We will take action,” she said. Farhana added that those dissatisfied with the council’s functioning can take up the matter directly with the Director Urban Local Bodies, along with evidence. She warned that if such allegations continue without substantiation, the council will take a legal recourse—(KNO)
