Budgam, Oct 02 (KNO): Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF) Kashmir Frontier, Ashok Yadaw, on Thursday said that the festival of Dussehra carries the timeless message of the triumph of good over evil, urging people to shun negativity and contribute towards nation building. Speaking at the grand Dussehra celebrations organised at the BSF Headquarters in Humhama, Budgam, IG Yadaw, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that BSF officers and jawans stand united in celebrating festivals despite serving in the most difficult conditions along the Line of Control (LoC). “Our troops work under very tough circumstances at the borders while their families stay back here. We all decided to come together. Over the last two days we showcased Ramleela and concluded today with Dussehra,” he said. The IG BSF underlined that the values drawn from Lord Ram’s life inspire people to bring positivity into their own lives. “As effigies of Ravan, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran went up in flames today, it symbolised burning away our inner evils. The core message is that good will always prevail over evil, and those who may be straying should leave the wrong path and turn towards the nation’s development,” Yadaw said. The Dussehra programme included Ramleela performances and the ceremonial ‘Ravan Dahan,’ which were enthusiastically witnessed and enjoyed by BSF personnel and their families—(KNO)
