Srinagar, Sep 05 (KNO): Residents of Humhama, Baghat-e-Kanipora, Kanihama and other areas here have complained that Jio Fiber services have remained non-functional for the past several days, leaving scores of households and businesses disconnected. Locals from the area told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the prolonged outage has caused severe inconvenience, especially to students and professionals who rely on the internet for online classes and work. “We have been without Jio Fiber for nearly a week now. Every time we call customer care, they assure us of restoration within 24 hours, but nothing happens,” said Adil Wani, a resident. Another local said students are the worst affected. “Our children’s online classes and assignments are suffering. In this digital age, even a single day without the internet is a setback—and here we are facing several days together,” she said. Shopkeepers also complained that digital transactions have been hit. “Most of us depend on online payments. With no internet, customers leave disappointed,” said another resident who runs a small grocery store. Meanwhile, residents urged the service provider to restore connectivity at the earliest, saying such disruptions have become frequent in the area—(KNO)
