Mufti Sajjad urges immediate relief for flood-affected areas in Devsar | KNO

Kulgam, Sep 08 (KNO): Mufti Sajjad, a prominent political leader and former IFS officer Monday visited various flood-affected areas in Devsar Constituency, including Nowpor, Nowbal, Gandbal, Wanpora, Redwani Ghat, and Qaimoh. During his visit, he assessed the damage caused by the floods and demanded immediate relief for the affected areas. As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mufti Sajjad demanded that the authorities provide free ration, restore drinking water supply, and dewater waterlogged areas. He also called for immediate assessment and compensation for damaged paddy crops and houses. He also urged the district administration Kulgam to sprinkle disinfectants in the area to prevent the outbreak of diseases. The leader was accompanied by Gh Nabi Bhat, Mohd Maqbool Bhan, Ashiq Hussain, and others during the visit. Mufti Sajjad's demands aim to address the pressing needs of the affected communities and support their recovery from the flood's impact—(KNO)
