Residential property acquired through proceeds of drug trade attached in Shopian: Police | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNO): As part of its ongoing drive against narcotics related activities, J&K Police in Shopian have attached a single-storey residential house valued at ₹18,88,000/- under Khasra No. 126, belonging to Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday resident of Barbugh Imamsahib. According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the property was identified as having been acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics. Accordingly, the property was attached in connection with case FIR No. 02/2026 of Police Station Imamsahib. The attachment process was carried out in the presence of a duly constituted police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar and Chowkidar ensuring full compliance with all legal procedures and protocols. J&K Police reiterates its firm commitment to combating narcotics-related offences and urges the public to come forward with any information regarding drug trafficking or related activities—(KNO)
