DC Sgr issues advisory: don't walk or play over on frozen Dal Lake | KNO

Srinagar, December 29 (KNO) : Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rashid today issued an advisory asking people and the youth not to walk or play over the frozen parts of dal lake and it’s interior parts stating that any such move can prove dangerous. The advisory, according to KNO, reads: “Due to sub zero temperatures in Srinagar parts of Dal Lake freeze these days, especially  at the banks & interiors. It is dangerous & potentially life threatening to walk/play on it. It is requested to take note & desist from any such action." Temperatures in Kashmir have plummeted below freezing point as after 28 years Mercury has dipped to minus 8 degrees Celsius. Srinagar is also witnessing shortage of drinking water as all the water supply plants have freezes.(KNO)
