Solatium Scheme implemented in JK on SHRC’s intervention | KNO

Srinagar, July 15 (KNO) : The Solatium Scheme has been implemented in Jammu and Kashmir on the intervention of State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), reads a statement issued to KNO. The Solatium Scheme 1989 pertains to “Hit & Run Cases”, which is already in existence throughout India. “Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission in its historic order passed in the complaints pertaining to “Hit & Run Cases” filed before the commission has ordered the State Government to implement the Solatium Scheme 1989 in the State which is already in existence throughout India in compliance to the orders/directions of the commission the state government has established mechanism for implementation of the said scheme in each district as per government order No. 41TR of 2019, Dated 25-06-2019,” the statement said. “It is place to mention that the scheme is implemented in the State first time on the intervention of the commission which otherwise should have been implemented 30 years before,” statement added.(KNO)
